The Professional Institute of Public Service of Canada has provisional agreements for research (ER), health services (HS), architecture, engineering and land surveying (NR), applied science review and patent control (SP), audit, trade and procurement (AV). The professional association of civil servants of the External Action Service has reached an interim agreement for the Group Of Foreign Service (FS). The university appreciates its patient care staff and works hard to negotiate a fair agreement with the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME), which represents these workers. UC is committed to negotiating in good faith for a full, multi-year contract that fairly rewards patient care staff for their talent and skills and is financially sustainable. The Canadian government remains committed to agreements that are appropriate for taxpayers and that provide workers with fair wage adjustments and provisions tailored to the current work environment. Bargaining Partners: UNIFOR Collective Agreement Expiry Date: June 30, 2022 Dispute Resolution Mechanism: Arbitration The Canadian Professional Workers Association has preliminary agreements for the Economic and Social Services Of Science (EC) and Translation (TR) groups. To date, 18 preliminary agreements have been reached with negotiators; 10 of these agreements concern categories of workers in the central public administration for which the tax office is the employer. Provisional agreements have also been reached between workers in separate agencies. To date, three preliminary agreements have been concluded with the Professional Service Institute of Canada and five preliminary agreements with the Research Council Employees` Association. The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers has reached an interim agreement for electronics (EL).

A total of 18 interim agreements have been concluded in the meantime and, if ratified, apply to more than 60,000 federal government employees.
